The Sandbox

"Come play in our sandbox... located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills and right across the street from the ocean. Family friendly and very comfortable, The Sandbox is the perfect vacation destination for your next Outer Banks trip."

Hospitality minded owners have thought of everything to make your time here special and relaxing. There is a 10' x 20' solar heated, private pool (the pool is solar heated from early May to early June and again from early September to mid October), hot tub and also a stair tamer for help with luggage and groceries. The entire family will enjoy the foosball table and with 6 TVs, a DVD player and VCR everyone can watch what they want. And for those who have to stay connected to the outside world; Internet access is provided (please bring your laptop computer).

The Sandbox has a fully equipped kitchen with many extras including a pancake grill for those lazy morning breakfasts, crock pot, waffle maker, blender, mixer and plastic dishes, glasses and utensils for the little ones. The screened porch is right off of the kitchen and dining area which makes it perfect for an oceanside picnic, early morning coffee or just relaxing.

The sun decks make outside living even more enjoyable. Catch a beautiful sunset from the second floor deck.

No need to rent baby equipment; that is here too and includes 2 baby gates, a high chair and a port-a-crib.

The Sandbox is pet friendly (one medium sized dog allowed), with a fenced in yard. Outside amenities include an enclosed shower, a gas and a charcoal grill, beach cart, beach chairs, beach umbrella and boogie boards. In the pool area there is a retractable awning that provides shade from the hot afternoon sun.

Walk right across the 2 lane Beach Road to the beach. Then come back home and relax in the hot tub... or jump in the pool. Close to area shopping, restaurants and attractions The Sandbox will soon become a family favorite. This home is available for short stays (3 night minimum). Nearby restaurants include some of our favorites like Jolly Roger (breakfast), Goombays (lunch and after hours) and Chili Peppers.

Four bedrooms, four baths... perfect. There is 1 king bed with private/attached bath, 2 queen beds; a pyramid bunk and a twin bed (in the same room). There are also 2 queen sofa beds. All bed linens and towels are provided and beds are made when you check in. Check in day is Sunday.
